Sugarcane juice is easily available all over Pakistan and sugarcane juice carts are often placed on the roadside. It is very much liked in the summer season. According to a report in the Pakistani newspaper Express Tribune, in the same month before declaring sugarcane juice as the national drink, the Government of Pakistan had also declared Gulab Jamun as the national sweet on its Twitter account.
